Breakfast: Religious Liberty in the States: What We Can Learn from Cakes, Playgrounds, and Pregnancy Centers (Sponsored by The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty and 1st Amendment Partnership)

As conscience rights, free speech and association are increasingly being threatened: is the legislative process at the state level, or are the courts the better venue for providing solutions to these conflicts? Or is it a mix of both? Learn how recent Supreme Court decisions regarding a cake baker, a church playground, and a pregnancy center have far-reaching public policy implications for the states and give us a roadmap for addressing current issues and predicting what is coming down the Pike. Discuss why religious liberty protections need to not only exist in blue states but also in red states if you ultimately hope to preserve free speech and religious liberty in the public square.
